Photography trip Solsona, Spain (Catalonia)

Because this year's trip to the French Pyrenees was disappointing (nature is unpredictable), I took an interim trip to Catalonia. In the town of Solsona I set my sights on European vultures. And with that I did have a lot of luck! There are four species of vultures in Europe: the griffon vulture (most common), the Egyptian vulture (also fairly common), the monk vulture (rarer) and the bearded vulture (rarest). And I had, as the Spanish guide said, "Poker!", namely all four species appeared in front of the lens. An amazing experience. Especially the bearded vulture is a phenomenon. This vulture eats only bones, and thus only comes when all the other animals have already eaten the meat. With an amazingly flexible neck, the animal is able to swallow the bones. Unique!
